What are the best laptops now a day?

I wanted to buy a Mac but its to expensive. idl if there's a laptop that it's kind of the same but cheap

Well RocketSanchez that depends on what you want out of the laptop. I'm assuming that your just looking for a decent laptop since you didn't mention anything else.

In my opinion the best laptops now a days are free laptops. http://bit.ly/17rI2cx

Outside from that if your into video editing, motion graphics, 3D applications like Maya, 3Ds Max and Cinema 4D. Then I would choose a Mac for this. Or Custom build a Windows PC for this.

As for gaming I would choose a custom build or http://www.alienware.com.

For everyday task like surfing, checking email going on Youtube, Facebook and all that then. Just about any brand will work. It's just a matter of preference and or what you want to get out of the computer.

I bought a ASUS recently, only about $375 and it seems to work fine so far. Not for games, though. And no Windows 8 pest!

I'd recommend the Asus Zen book if you're planning to take it to your classes and well its actually an average laptop. Take a look at it: https://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/ASUS_ZENBOOK_UX31E/

Asus and Apple brand computers for work, business and internet surfing, but since almost everyone uses it for gaming, then Asus and Dell.
