Actually, the deaths of Henry VIII and Sir Thomas More had nothing to do with the bubonic plague, and neither of them died in 1543. Henry VIII died in 1547 of other causes, likely obesity-related, and Sir Thomas More was beheaded (on Henry VIII's orders) in 1535.

One notable Tudor figure who was carried off by the plague of 1543 was famous court painter Hans Holbein.

Black Death , a.k.a., Bubonic Plague 1498 through to 1665 the last big plague. It was on and off for 167 years. It still exists.
