I know a thing or two about guns.
Report as
It shows.
Report as
I'd say the deer gets a 30-30, squirrel gets a BB gun
Report as
Oh meant to post that as an answer lol
Report as
Thanks dude. How's the fishing?

Not bad, Wally.

AR 15?

Report as
Thank you Jeff. Is that an aircraft?
Report as
Assault rifle.
Report as
Thank you Defiant1.
Report as
Armalite
Report as
I thought it was an airplane with .50 calibre machine guns on it.
Report as
You got the first part right JDBo, the 15 stands for a 15mm
Report as
No it does not. A 15mm bullet would be nearly as big around as your thumb. A standard AR fires a bullet thats just a tad bigger than five and a half millimeters across, about the size of a pencil. The term AR 15 is the model number of a specific gun developed by ArmaLite back before the M 16. Nowadays, it is mistakenly (and irritatingly) used as a generic term for any rifle that is designed around the M 16.
Report as
I was joking around with the 15mm, lol. Didn't know AR went further than Armalite though, coolio knowledge dude
Report as
Oh. My bad. I see stuff about guns and go nuts.
Report as
Oh yeah man, I hear that. I'm not a hunter, and I can't even help myself not to answer questions like this
Report as
Pyle, 15mm is big around as your thumb??? 40cal S&W is 10mm. You have little fingers-
Report as
Josh, I remember when you were 'MC'. Hammer time!
Report as
Did you have an account before this one? Sorry, my memory isn't great
Report as
jsm?!
Report as
Er, uh, well... no. I can't remember either.
Report as
Lol, alright. I know a dude on here that uses a Clint Eastwood picture of the "R u feelin lucky, pUNK?!"
Report as
HC yeah i got slim fingers. My thumb is like, flat, (if that makes sense) and the flat side is about the right size...

I shot a mosquito once with a 7.62 Russian military rifle. I'm not certain that I got it but it was gone after I shot it. The guy it was biting sure was mad afterwards. I don't know why. I saved him from a mosquito bite.
Just kidding. It wasn't really biting anyone.
This is based on a true story. I really did shoot the mosquito.
Report as
I'm sure if the mosquito did get away, he warned his mosquito buddies about you
Report as
They got their revenge when I went to Alaska.
Report as
I honestly don't know if you're kidding, is there Mosquitos in Alaska?
I live in South Florida... I only worry about the Mosquitos terrorizing me
Report as
Terrorizing you? Maybe you should bathe. I know tmrw is saturday.
Report as
Is it already? I'm only 4 days overdue
Report as
There are lots of mosquitos in Alaska. People call it the state bird. When I first got there I had so many mosquito bites that my forehead swelled up so bad that I could see my eyebrows. Clouds of them were following us while we were hiking. If we stopped to take a break they would descend upon us. Eventually I built up an immunity to them.
Report as
Alright. I read your comments and I'm like "this dudes tryin to f*** with my mind, IT'S TOO COLD FOR MOSQUITOS UP THERE!"
So I went to the handy dandy google-matic for some answers. I think everyone on the Internet is f****n with me...
Report as
No, I'm not messing with you. They have 'em up there. Some areas of Alaska get hot in the summer and they hatch like crazy.
Report as
I'm gonna have to go to Alaska and find out for myself...lol
Report as
Definitely worth the trip. Alaska is probably the most beautiful place I've ever seen. If you go in the middle of June it never really gets dark. If you're still there in September or October you'll probably see the Northern Lights. They are amazing! You can sometimes see them from the lower 48 but they are nothing like they are in Alaska.
Oh yeah, and bring some mosquito repellent.
Report as
Sometime within the next 50 years, I'll try to make it.
I think I've got some of that, I've got a nice bat house I built behind my house, they keep the mosquito population in check around my house
Report as
Bats are good for that.

i'm shaking.

Thank you fj.

you're welcome :p
Report as
I wonder what the best gun for shooting vegetables is. I can't think of anything more cruel than boiling those poor innocent veggies while they're still alive.
You don't want to be shaking when you shoot your tomatoes with a 30 odd 6. Unless of course you are making tomato sauce.
Report as
I'm with you. I swear I hear my carrots cry in terror as I dip them into the ranch dressing.
Report as
Tomato sauce is made of vegetables. And it's best to baste those dead animals with...
With fettuccini, and Parmesan of course

I'd say a .306 or a 30/30. I hope you didn't plan on eating the squirrels.

Deer AND squirrels? Anything you can kill a deer with will probably turn a squirrel into pasty, pinkish giblets. The closest you could ever manage to come between the two is a .222, in my opinion.

Slug barrel nice thinking
Report as
I just use salt for slugs. It's less noisy and you don't have to blow holes in your yard.
Report as
Not funny. Well, maybe a TINY little bit.

Maybe that's why I'm not making a lot of money as a comedian (none really) and I get no respect. When I was born the Doctor slapped my mother.
But seriously folks, the question was intentionally silly and so were some of the answers and comments. Dirty Harry was making a point.

.44 magnum would work, but would be a poor choice for a non expert, especially if you're planning to use a revolver. Best a good quality bolt action rifle between .243 and .308. A good quality scope is recommended as well. Then practice with it.

Report as
Thanks, I will save the .44 for bad guys. Actually, my question was a mockery of all the stupid gun/hunting questions I see on here. 'There are no stupid questions' ? Bull. Anyway, I have my eyes on a old Stevens/Savage o/u in.22mag/12g. Perfect deer/squirrel gun? Maybe! My buddy wants $500. Safe to shoot slugs through? Idk-

22 for squirrels because if you shoot them in the head, it wont damage the meat. For deer a 222 or 30 06. 12 ga slug if you live in a stupid state like Illinois like me and rifles are illegal to shoot deer with.

Same here in Ohio-

well that all depends on where you live.. here in Michigan we are only allowed to shoot shotguns at deer.. So, i have a 20 gauge slug, a .22 for squirrel..
