Anyone else find the situation in North Korea very sad?
They are loyal to the leader that splurges on limos and imported fancy things. However, they are poor and malnourished and going blind (via cataracts) from the bad diet. If they are disloyal, their extended family for three generations will be sent to a concentration camp. They think "Our Great Leader" is a god. They have never been exposed to any form of government or any way of thinking besides the ways in North Korea. They have pictures and shrines in their house of "Our Great Leader." It is crowded and poor and very sad, but they think their unity will help them survive. They hate Americans because they have been told that Americans are bad. There is no connection to the outside world. All the books are by the first leader. Is it just so sad to me, how confined they are? Forgive me if this is offensive to anyone. Simply tell me if it is. I just wanted to know your opinion on this topic.
