How many times are you going to ask this question? You SHOULD NOT pray to Mary, she is asleep, waiting peacefully until the day of judgement, Just like every other saint, and every other person that has died in Christ. And to answer your question, Catholics pray to Mary more than they pray to the one that will actually hear them, Jesus!
She is considered the mother of God and said yes to him so she put all her faith in God by trusting him and we should do the same. She also experienced much sorrow so we can pray to her through rough times when we are sad. Prayingvthe rosary is a good way tp practice this.
She has been lifted to the point of a deity probably by some pope way back in the beginning. Because she was honored by being made Jesus mother they decided this was good cause to magically bestow upon her retroactively (as catholics love to do, imagining dead people suddenly have miraculous powers) abilities and attributes equal to her son, Jesus Christ. Thus they pray to her and worship her more than they do Jesus himself. They even believe she was somehow born without the sin nature of the rest of humanity, an almost direct blasphemy against Christ since we know God has said Christ was the ONLY perfect, sinless human. Catholics also choose to believe the woman never had sex with her husband nor ever had any other children.
