If you mean an American Bulldog; It's a breed of working dog. The Bully and Standard types have names associated with the breeders who developed them; John D. Johnson(Bully) and Alan Scott (Standard). The Bully type is generally larger, heavier and has a shorter muzzle than the Standard. But many of the American Bulldogs today are a mix of the two. They are very often confused with PittBulls as they have similar features. They make great family pets if properly trained , socialized and exercised. Our was a really sweet and fun dog!:-).
