Establish a set number of times you will allow yourself to touch something. You might tell yourself you are allowed to touch something three times. After the third time, force yourself to walk away. Tell yourself, "Three times is enough." It will take practice, but you can do it!! :) Of course, if you cannot do it on your own, you need to get help from professionals.

To help with temporary relief of OCD symptoms, you could try using Compulsin, a natural remedy reported to help with the symptoms right away. Go to http://www.hellolife.net/compulsin/ or look on a search engine to find it. Some people have used St. Johns Wort with great success, but you need to be careful with taking it, due to sunlight exposure problems for some people.
But for long term treatment, you need to see a doctor, to find out why you are having these symptoms. OCD can be caused by many physical factors, such as corn syrup allergy, a specific vitamin or mineral deficiency, brain chemistry imbalance, allergy to caffeine, among other things You need a doctor to do testing, diagnosis and treatment of OCD, so you know what you are really dealing with. Take care
