Legal ramifications for exploring and photographing burned down property, Falls Church Va 22042
I live around the corner from a house that burned down end of January in Fairfax, Virginia. The two women who rented the house, a Professor and student at Gallaudet University, unfortunately passed away in the fire :( To my knowledge, the police have yet to determine the cause.
I am an aspiring photographer and I'd like to take some shots in memorium. The house is fenced in, but there are no signs declaring private property or trespassing. Would it be considered trespassing? Or could I get in legal trouble? I want go in the daytime, a note taped to the fence explaining all this, and my ID (just in case....) but.... I'd like avoid the hassle, all the same.
