It's probably OK but I think I would wait until your constipation is gone . Get some Milk of Magnesia or some Pysllium and take it till it goes away . Then eat more fibre and fruits to keep it away. Then think about getting some Citrucell or Psyllium capsules to take daily to keep you regular .
If your constipated take equal parts of crushed shredded wheat, applesauce, and warm prune juice (like 1/2 cup of each) mix the shredded wheat and applesauce together then mix in the warm prune juice. You can add some chopped walnuts or pecans if ya want. Mix together and enjoy!! You will definitely see results!
