Possibly.. BUT you need to consult with a vet about dosages... do not use a human dose on a cat without first talking to a vet. Cats are VERY sensitive to medications and you should never give a cat any medication with out veterinarian supervision

to be honest I would try a little neosporin first if you can since trying to determine the correct dose on an oral would be tricky

Dosages are just as important as the medication. Consult your vet to make sure you don't do some severe damage by misdiagnosis and improper medicating.

While it might work, in most human doses it can kill. Talk to your vet, or better yet take your pet in for treatment.

The erythromycin medication cannot work for the cat with infected abscess. This medication is suited for people allergy to penicillin's. You are required to take the cat to a vet for the appropriate treatment.

You need a vet. He needs the appropriate antibiotic and probably have the abscess drained.
