how do I keep the conversation interesting with my girlfriend?

so me and my girl have been together a bit now and we are totally right for each other, we have so much in common and we are just great, but recently we have pretty much exhausted all of our topics and the conversation has become strained and mostly small talk. how can I spark a new topic or even an old topic that still can be discussed? help me please, I really don't want my relationship to start falling :/

Talk about how happy you are being with her and having her in your life, compliment her, talk about the future and the past, what makes you mad and what makes you happy so she knows what not to do to make you mad, talk about new movies or old movies, new music, youtube videos, sports, your day, favorite things, your likes and dislikes or the things you would someday like to do with her or places you would like to take her to,news, food, funny stories, embarassing stories, tell scary stories to each other, talk about family vacations, places you wanna travel or the romantic stuff you wanna do for each other

It won't. Every one goes through "dry spells." This is normal. Before you know it things will naturally go back to normal (and you won't be able to hush her up! Lol!)

Well you shouldn't have to search for conversation...You say you've exhausted all the conversations but do you each know what your favorite colors are? Favorite foods? Stuff you did as kids? You can't "make" conversation happen...maybe get comfortable with a bit of "quiet time"....we always feel as though we have to fill any quietness with meaningless words when maybe layin back in the grass, staring up at the sky and just being present together could be one of the best "conversations" you've had...get comfortable with just being...Peace

Actually I do know all those things :P we talk a LOT. But yea I like that thought of peaceful silence, even tho it's making me think of like half the scenes of Kristen Stewart in Twilight, so yea, thanks!! :)

Every relationship goes through the stage I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years and that has happened plenty of times where we just run out of things to talk about but this stage will pass so don't freak out she isn't going anywhere:)

My husband and I have been together for seven years and we don't talk as much as we did when we first dated. All I really liked was when we he asked me about my day and that put a smile on my face. Share stories from your childhood let me tell you he has told me the same story eight time but I listen every time and just nod along. Love will come through anything and stay no matter what, conversation or not.

What relationships need is a bit of change every now and then so go out and do something different. Go sit under the stars one night, walk for miles down some train tracks (don't get run over by a train,) and just enjoy each others company. The conversation will come out of time with each other.

Discuss things of substance such as the recent political situations and such, that will definitely yield good discussion if you both have any idea what you are talking about with it.

You two could make up ideas on how to pass time, or find new things to talk about. Gby

Next time you see her, ask her if she missed you. And then ask her how much she missed you and to show you.
