First time tanning tips?

I'm a teen. I know tanning isnt the best for your skin but I'm pale from summer. I'm fair/light skinned. Recommendations for tanning lotions and time to stay in?I don't want to be dark, just a nice spring tan

Being that you are fair skinned, and pale from the winter, slow and steady would be the practical approach. Utilize a cocoa butter tanning lotion for short durations initially. No longer than 15 - 20 minutes per side. Extend as needed or the preferred tanning shade is achieved. Remember, to utilize a moisturizer such as an aloe gel after each tanning session to help further protect and nourish your skin for a healthy, glowing tan.

Number one tip; Don't Do It !
get your tan out of a spray bottle.
It's so much better for your health

Natural suntan or Spray tan. I've been tanning since 1994 religiously. I now have sun damage on my face and chest that i have to spend money on and get reversed. Tanning is addictive. Once you start, you can't stop. But, if you are like me and I didn't listen to anyone when I was you age, spend the money on the more expensive beds. Some places have beds that are better for your skin than the others. I never spent alot of money on lotion bc once someone that worked at a tanning salon said as long as you keep your skin moisturized and use lotion you will be fine. So I always bought the cheap stuff. Also, they have face tanning lotion too. It helps with wrinkles. Please done tan excessively and ruin your young skin!!
