The cows are given antibiotics that end up in their milk... The cow also releases hormones into their milk that help the baby cow grow and fight disease. When you drink milk... YOU get all that good stuff too.... Even if it isnt good for you. Cows milk is for baby cows. Goats milk is for baby goats. Something to think about next time you take a drink of it. (and no, pasteurization doesnt get rid of that stuff)
With all of the hormones, antibiotics, corn etc, mass produced milk is very bad for you. Not to mention the extreme cruelty that the cow undergoes. Watch the documentary "food inc". If you drink milk, your best bet is to drink organic hormone, antibiotic and cruelty free milk from pasture raised cows. The health benefits are much greater than that of mass produced milk, plus it tastes better, its shelf life is over a month and you are saying no to animal cruelty.
