I could reply with a smart-ass remark to your question, but instead I'll answer it: Some people do not pay attention to what they type most of the time from what it seems or they simply don't care. Possibly both.

It's not that they don't understand, they just switch them up.

I think that it has to do with language and technology. 1. English is a second language for many in this country, therefore, they can easily mix those up and use them in the wrong way. 2. Nowadays, who checks their spelling, grammar and syntax, not many since computers and smartphones do it, however, technology won#039;t correct the way the words are used only the spelling.

Calling ppl stupid is not the answer, in my opinion! ppl just don't care now days! We get away with so much, via texting! We starting to change words up!

Olivia I agree but that's what is so stupid!

I think less of people who use poor grammar. I can't help it. It is like a someone with missing teeth. You can't hear what they are saying because you are distracted by the gaps where their teeth should be.

Not the same thing as a typo. See my above comment for an example of a typo. Darn!

Where dies it stop though? Language may be imperfect, but it's all we have to communicate. And the way you use language does reflect on you.

Those that need to learn to do it right (because they do it wrong) tend to not give a rip. That drives me nuts.

There- is often a place.

They're - short for they are.

Their - possessive (sp?) , belonging to.

If you happen to come from a non-english speaking place, you are not held as responsible- or- I am more likely to give you a break.
