The best you can ever get and the cheapest for the performance is a self built desktop. If you want it around your house you can make a lightweight laptop style interface that can connect wirelessly via a high performance bluetooth card.
The Alienware M17x R4 comes with the latest Intel Core processor and a top Nvidia Graphics card in addition to having one of the best laptop chassis in the business. Next up would be the Alienware M18x, which costs slightly over $2500. Check out the details on www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2020688,00.asp.
I have an ASUS laptop, and it works really well with games. Some games will say the video card or whatever is not built for it, but trust me, graphics are great. I have 5 games on it right now and they work great. I wouldn't get a mac because not all macs can run certain games. Hope this helps!
Alienware, no contest. I made (You can customize your stuff) an Alienware Aurora with, like 16 gigs of RAM (Holy cow) a couple of terabytes of memory (Holy cow) One of the best video cards around (Holy cow) and it was only about $1900 and I even got a monitor and a keyboard.
I would strongly suggest a desktop, because in my person experiences, laptops have never been good enough for gaming. You can get a great desktop for 1.5k if you build it yourself (which is surprisingly easy). If you can't get a desktop, build your own laptop for a better price. Most pre-made laptops don't have good enough memory or graphics cards. Also, to the guy who said mac pro, No. Do not get a mac. They are horrible for gaming, as you can hardly download any games on to them. Hope this helped! -TheGuycoGecho
Gaming laptops depend on their configuration. Configuration is the foremost thing in any gaming laptop like RAM, graphic card (Nvidia or ATI) chip set etc. Dell laptops give you a real feel of gaming. Try out at your nearest dell center or you can also check online.
go to cyberpowerpc and click on the fangbook x7-200. it's customizable with latest i7 processor and graphics card choices. its chassis and performance will have your friends and/or coworkers jealous. the only problem is that the battery life is a little short.
