the best one is John 3:16 for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son. That whosoever shall believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

I really find it hard to surpass John 3:16; and you can see how many have mentioned it.
Here are a few more (but the Bible's full of them):
* 2 Thessalonians 3:3 "But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil."
*Acts 14:17 "Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness."
*Matthew 6: 26 "Behold the fowls of the air; for they sow not, neither do they reap, no gather unto barns; yet your heavenly father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?"
*John 13: 34,35 "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another, as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."

As everyone said, John 3:16 is a good one. But these also come to mind:

(KJV) Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

(KJV) Proverbs 18:24 A man [that hath] friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend [that] sticketh closer than a brother.

(KJV) 1 Thessalonians 4:9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

(KJV) 1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins.

But if u want to really know how God feels about His Bride, read Hosea.

I like the Creation story. I think it describes well the love of God. To create a whole new planet just for us!

Yes, and the most amazing part of all is that, with a Heaven full of angels constantly worshipping Him, God desired a friend, and He made us! :)

Interesting that love can only happen by choice. The only other choice is slavery. I've often wondered what the Muslim faith means when they say their purpose is to be Allah's slaves? I understand the apostle Paul's statement of personal slavery as he explained it based on a mutual love relationship. Almost like a marriage Since Allah did not die for his people, how does the Muslim understand if he really loves them? Or are they forever warriors destroying the enemies of their God???

I like the other John 3:16 (i.e. 1 John 3:16), "By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers."
