Did Shakespeare depend on other authors to write his plays or at least referred to the,?

cz some believe that he wrote all his plays and sonnets by himself...its for a debate im having in class :)

I've seen convincing documentarys that claim Shakespeare did not in fact write all of the stories that bear his name. As to whether it is true or just a crazy conspiracy theory..... I don't know. Heres some links where you can read about the theories yourself to judge.

No one knows. And really, at this point it doesn't matter. No one is being paid royalties on the plays. Although I do like the debate over whether it was William Shakespeare or Sir Francis Bacon who wrote the plays. It's called the "Shake or Bake" controversy. Hilarious!

To be serious, it is possible that at least some of his work was by other people. Copyright laws were only just, if at all, being thought up. Plays were first written out by hand and pages could easily be stolen and written into another play. And many scholars say Shakespeare didn't have nearly enough education to write his historical dramas without at least some help. But, again, there is no way to prove it either way.
