What's the difference between lactaid milk vs regular milk? Other then being for lactose intolerants...

I went to the store to buy whole organic milk for my 1yr old... the only whole milk was lactaid.. she's not lactose intolerant, therefore is the enzyme that is added to the milk gong to have any affect on her or the milk? or is the difference only the enzyme & no big deal? if lactaid is not am issue why not make all dairy with the enzyme? or is it too expensive to add to everything or just not necessary to add since it's not beneficial to everyone? is soy milk more nutrients then cows milk for a baby?... after opening a spoiled batch of toddler formula, I was forced to give her milk with out researching any info!
