What's the best place to watch the World Cup in Berkeley or Oakland?

Is there a sports bar that will show all the games with the sounds cranked up?

Henry's in Hotel Durant near Telegraph will open for all games, including 4:30 a.m. ones.

Bobby G's in downtown will open at 10:30 a.m. for games.

Guerilla Cafe in North Berkeley will open at 7 a.m. tomorrow for the Mexico v. S. Africa game. I can't remember them having a TV, so I think it's a projection.

My choice is Bobby G's because they have a good selection of beers and the pizzas are good if a bit overpriced.

In Downtown Oakland, I know for sure of two places that will be showing all World cup games. Arsimona which is on Clay Street and 11th and Penelope which is on Clay Street between 11th and 12th. Arsimona has many televisions so will probably be showing multiple games at one time. Penelope only has one but if there is a game you want to see with the sounds cranked up, I'm sure they will accommodate!

Yes, Arsimona is good, for downtown Oakland. Full bar, lots of TVs, decent small menu. In Rockridge, there's Barclay's (my hang): on College between Chabot & Hudson, near Zachary's Pizza. Several big TVs, very good pub-grub menu. Awesome beer selection. In Berkeley, there's Kips, & Henry's (a.k.a. Durant Hotel), Larry Blakes & numerous others.
