I got a iPhone 4 from Verizon why can't I receive text messages while I'm talking on the phone or is there sumthing wrong with it?

I also have the iPhone 4 and I can receive texts when I'm talking on it so there may be a problem with your particular phone. I'd call your cell phone carriers customer service and speak to someone in technical support.

You might check settings if you haven't already.

It's only 3G to go online or text and talk you need 4G.
