Well, the best way would probably be to find out what is causing the stress and take care of it. If that's not possible, exercise can help. A pet can help if you can afford the upkeep and have time for it. Personally, I love dogs but if you can't take care of your pet that could actually add to your stress. Horseback riding and camping are great if you can do those activities. If you have time, escape from civilization for a few days. Go someplace where there is no cell phone reception or computers. Get back to nature. I know you can't always do that though. Life and it's problems just keep coming at you relentlessly. I know, believe me. Sometimes though if you can even get away for a few hours or a day it helps. All the problems will still be there when you get back but you may be in a better frame of mind to deal with them.
I'd suggest quads, but I don't think that applies for everyone... XD
You, Phlorence, and I will go beat some punching bags and then bake some stuff. :p
Go on an adventure in the woods. Just stay out there for a while, all by yourself, but don't get lost. Hang out with your little bro, I know how important he is to you. Meditating's fun too. Take a bath (I don't care if only little kids do that, TAKE A DARN BATH!!! Okay, fine, a long shower will do too....) and then meditate, and then go to bed. Don't think about anything. Every time you fine yourself thinking about stuff, force yourself to push it away. :o

Simply put, the Lamaze breathing exercise, breathe in (mouth closed) your nose, release breath through your mouth. It's called a cleansing breath. It gets me over pain, stomach aches, etc. It definitely calms me!!! A cheap, safe remedy!!!!
How to Reduce Stress ? Give your body sufficient rest each day ? Maintain a reasonable diet. Avoid overeating ? Engage in proper and regular exercise, such as brisk walking ? If something worries you, talk to a friend about it ? Spend more time enjoying your family ? Delegate or share household chores ? Know your own physical and emotional limitations ? Set realistic goals; do not be a perfectionist ? Be organized; have a balanced, reasonable schedule ? Cultivate Christian qualities such as mildness and patience ? Set aside some time for yourself

What I find most interesting is that most people miss the most critical aspect of stress relief - and that is proper sleep. As a matter of fact, stress and sleep work hand in hand. If you have bad stress, you'll get bad sleep. If you have bad sleep, you'll maintain some bad stress (see here: http://www.ergoflex.com.au/sleepcentre/stress-symptoms-effect-on-sleep). Relaxation and/or meditation is the key. Try to let everything go before you go to bed. Also, investing in a mattress you love to sleep on will help you alleviate any tension (I own an Ergoflex memory foam mattress, they're awesome). The best way to remove stress from your life is to not worry about an issue if it isn't yours to worry about, and if it is yours, try to offload it to someone else.
