The Cost C and Income I for making and selling T-shirts with a school logo are given by the equations C=$535+4.5n and I=$12n (n=# of shirts)

How many T-shirts are bought and sold to make even?Suppose only 50 shirts are sold, is there a profit or loss.I don't understand how to do this:/ Please explain as well :)

Okay, I believe this is how it goes:

Cost = $534 + 4.5n
Income = 12n
n = # of shirts

Cost = $534 + 4.5(50 shirts) = $759
Income = 12(50 shirts) = $600

Income - Cost = Profit
600-759 = -$159 (Loss)

To break even, I believe:
Income - Cost = zero
12n - ($534 + 4.5n) = 0
12n - $534 - 4.5n = 0
7.5n = $534
n = 71.2 shirts
