What are most required math when you are older?

like I know this might sound stupid but my class didn't begin to learn math with letters in it. however is it really needed or just multiplication and division is all you need?

The more complicated maths aren't required in normal day to day living, unless you are in engineering, scientific fields, chemical work, etc. Learning Algebra, Calculus, Trig, etc. really sharpen your thinking skills, problem solving ability and logical thinking.
In addition to multiplication and division, I've found that I need to work with fractions, percentages and ratios on a daily basis.

well I have more problem solving without math and more logical thinking than anyone even though they have more math knowledge. I guess there are some things that are not really required for something that I know is simple to me but hard for others.

I spend a lot of time dealing with statistics and algebra-like problems. I am always solving for X. Geometry and trigonometry are also fairly common, but not as much as the others. Rarely do I deal with calculus problems - but then I am not a civil engineer, either.

Math with letters is called algebra. It's required to get through high school, but whether you use it as an adult will depend on what your job it. However, it also teaches you logic and critical thinking skills, which are absolutely required in life.

You are talking about algebra and the letter is often used just like a question mark. I use it several time a week to figure out sale prices, or to adjust recipes. If you are in 8th grade or up you should have had algebra by now.
