The same as any marriage, to the individuals. I think you need to be more accurate in your question. Do you perhaps mean "What are the benefits of legally recognizing gay marriage?" or "What are the benefits to society of gay marriage?"

The same benefits as other married people: financial responsibility, family obligations, shared support and care of children, equality in all things, and the legal rights over medical care for the spouse, and legal decision-making in all things. Removing the discriminatory rules that prevent adoption means that gay couples will become parents and be able to make the same contribution to the community as anybody else.
