Really good ideas would be to put some epsom salt in a glass of water...or any salt. Heat up in the microwave for a few seconds and have your child gargle it. Also gargling mouthwash helps a lot. Another thing that sometimes helps is tea. I hope your child feels better :)

A cough can be anything from a post nasal drip which causes a tickle in the throat, to pneumonia. Only a doctor can tell you which it is. Don't fool around with home remedies. Take your child to a doctor!

warm tea with honey and lemon juice filling the bath with hot water and tell her /him to stay in the bathroom and just breathe it in a cough drop will never hurt some sweet juice orange juice or oranges helps cure coughing but it might hurt a little a lollipop an ice pop HONEY mouthwash if you gargle it a nap some hot chocolate some time with tv BUT NOT SPONGE BOB!! a trip to the doctor will never hurt and some cheese God bless and good luck!!
Try giving honey & lemon in hot tea if you have any drainage going down the throat. The lemon will cut the flem, the honey will coat the throat.
Or depending on how old the person is: do not do if person is under 17 yrs: use dayquil and over 30 mins...take a sip hold it in mouth letting it drain down the throat.....do this through out the 30 mins
you need to put vicks vapor rub on his feet and then put socks on before bed i know it sounds weird but does help . Also take kid outside and have him take several deep breaths this will help open his bronchial tubes and slow down inflammation good luck
