No one knows the answer to that, although many people will claim that they do. To me the meaning of life is to be happy, and to make other people happy as well. Perhaps it has no meaning, so give life your own meaning :)

From earth , Then to earth ... Then to be resurrected from it ... Then The Judgment ..Then either Heaven or Hell ... It is just like a house with two doors ... we entered from the first ... and we are soon departing from the second ... and we are to be questioned about what we did inside that House .. That's it !
( 36 ) Does man think that he will be left neglected? ( 37 ) Had he not been a sperm from semen emitted? ( 38 ) Then he was a clinging clot, and [Allah] created [his form] and proportioned [him] ( 39 ) And made of him two mates, the male and the female. ( 40 ) Is not that [Creator] Able to give life to the dead? Quran (75:36-40)
Happiness - now and here - is the only aim of human life, virtue is the means. The highest philosophy of life is to live for the benefit of your fellow-men, to make those you love happy, to shield them from the sorrows of life, to do what good you can, and to render all the services possible in the holy cause of human progress.
By happiness is meant not simply lust and luxury - the joy of eating and drinking - the gratification of the appetite - but well-being in the highest and noblest form - the joy that springs from obligation discharged, from duty done, from generous acts, from comforting the afflicted, from defending the innocent, from being true to the ideal; from doing the best we could to increase the happiness of our fellow-men.
This great truth of life is, I believe, the gospel of morality. If all men knew that they must inevitably bear the consequences of their own actions, if they absolutely knew that they could not injure another being without injuring themselves, the world, in my judgment, would be far better than it is.
