A normal Platelet count is between the numbers 150,000 to 450,000. This is usually an average in healthy individuals. If you have a higher platelet count your doctor will be able to do tests and explain the risks of getting blood clots. Just because you have a normal count does not mean that you would be fine. Im not a doctor but the research will show that there could be other problems. Certain medicines such as aspirin can mess up the numbers. If you are concerned about a blood clot talk with your doctors. Usually it can mean different diseases also besides a clot. So if your numbers are high then ask questions so you can find answers to reasons why. Other reasons if your count is high, you can talk with your doctor to see if you will be at risk for strokes, heart attacks, and an abnormality in the platelets. Either way you look at it whether its low, high,or normal different things can acure so best solution is ask questions so you know what is going on with your body.
