Desktop icons for internet explorer?

I can't seem to get the shortcut icon onto my desktop screen so that I can clean cache/cookies, etc.

If you did not have the icon on the desktop all you need to do is to click on My Computer, then Program Files, and Internet Explorer. Once that is opened just scroll till you see Internet Explorer then right click it. You will then want to right click this and then select Create Short Cut. From here you can drag it to your desktop or you can just right click again and select Send To and Desktop.
