You may have an older connection for the housing in the bulb. For example rust or oxidation. wiggle one of these to see if the bulb on that side works. It sounds strange if both went at the same time , if not try buying one bulb to check it. But if they both went at the same time start with easy things first, checthe fuses ,tey're sometimes found under the hood on either side of the firewall,"car" or under the driver dash, or in the glove box, on the inside cover they have a " map as to what fuses run what. Next have a mechanic check the switch on the steering column, because if they both went at the same time just changing a fuse may or may not fix the problem. Some thing caused the fuse to burn open you have to find out why, or the problem will definitely continue.Hope this helps.
You have to check the headlight itself if its already busted then you have to replace it. If the light is still okay, you have to check the wiring from the headlight switch down to the bulb terminal for possible cut offs like busted fuse or loosened contact point.
