Should I buy a Verizon iPhone now or should I wait until a new iPhone comes out this summer?

I'm a Verizon customer and would really like to switch from my homely Blackberry to an iPhone now that it is possible (at long last!), but I read on Gizmodo that it's wiser to hold off on buying one till Apple releases its new model of the iPhone this summer. What do you think? Will having the latest model be worth the extra ~ 5-month wait?

Well.............. depends on how much you need a phone!

If you need a phone right away then get it!

But if you don't need it right now and you are looking for a more "high tech" phone then wait!

If one is going to buy an iPhone and there is a newer version coming out within a matter of months then it seems the best option is to wait since there is so much money spent on it. the other will outdated soon just like computers.

If you really need a phone then get one now, but once a new model comes out if you still want that one and arent really satisfied with the phone you got earlier you can always sell it and buy the new phone. thats what I would do if I needed a phone right away. But if you think you dont really need a phone now, then I think you should wait.

Definitely wait! The iPhone 5, while probably not being a major upgrade from the 4, will most likely still be alot better. The most likely new features are compatibility with 4G, more speed, and many more awesome things. I love my iPhone 4, but I got it months ago. If I were in your position, I would wait.

Thanks! I appreciate hearing from a current iPhone 4 owner on this. Unless I drop my current phone on the train tracks (which almost happened this morning) I think I will wait for the new iPhone.

Haha!!! iPhone 4 is a great phone, but the 5 will be better, and definitely worth the wait. Hope you enjoy it in a few months!

I would buy one now because when the next iphone comes out it will be very expensive and there isn't that many differences.

note: If i was very wealthy i would wait.
