Does skipping breakfast make you put on weight?

not eating meals regularly can mess up the way your stomach and brain communicate. when you skip a meal your stomach is empty until you eat and when you do eat, you store more of the fat because your stomach wont be able to tell when you will eat again.

Yes because if you don't eat breakfast you will score low on memory and you will have the score of a old person. No a fence to old people

Skipping a meal does helps to put on weight because after a long time you are having something in large quantity.It helps to put on weight if the food is junk ,deep fried,etc.

Yea it does make you put on weight but if you skip breakfast sometimes you can faint through out the day that is why its called the most important meal of the day

Well... Technically. Once you continuously skip breakfast, you will eventually eat more during the day. Not necessarily good foods. People tend to eat junk food or snack throughout the day. Don't skip it. Breakfast is supposed to be the biggest, healthful meal of the day.

Yes. If you skip breakfast you will be very hungry at lunch so you will eat more than you really need and then that causes you to gain more weight.

Research has shown eating breakfast makes you eat less total calories over the course of the day. Fiber is always great to include as it leaves you feeling satiated and (usually) comes from healthy, whole food sources that pack nutritional punch beyond just fiber. Basically, you may skip a meal because of your hectic schedule or because you think it is the thing to do for weight loss. But In fact, what?s going on is that you and your body aren?t on the same page, so it depends on your body system.

i did it for 3 months strait and went from a size 12 to a size 4.

It may help you lose weight, but it's very unhealthy. Once you stop eating just dinner a day and start eating regularly again you'll gain back even more weight, hun. :| It's better to eat enough in a day and exercise. Don't skip meals. I'd rather you be healthy and happy.

YES. in two ways:
1. your body will notice there's no food in it and keep the metabolism low as you go into the day
2. you will likely give into hunger and eat sweets or other poor choices

breakfast & lunch are the best times to eat meats and heavy/caloric foods in general because your metabolism is naturally high for your day's activities. you will burn off the heavier, more caloric foods during the daytime hours; whereas if you eat those same items in the evening, your body will convert them to fat while you sleep.

It won't make you gain if you eat a few hours later, I always skip breakfast because I wake up early, but it makes you tired.

I know some of these products sound sketchy. They do work though, I know from experience. You do have to eat better and exercise though.
