. people drink for several reason. some like the taste, some like the feeling, some do it because of peer pressure. alcohol can be very good or very very very bad. it puts you in a different state of mind. If you drink it responsible (aka buzzed) and in a safe environment it can be lots of fun. the best way to describe it to some one your age is to spin around and get dizzy but in a feel good way. that what alcohol does to your brain but a lasting feeling. now if you spin around too much the fun dizzy fades away and you just feel like crap, same with alcohol. drunk, you are aware of whats going on but cant really control it. some people get so drunk that they do things they wouldn't normally do. they run into traffic, they talk and go home with people they never met, etc. it can be extremely dangerous. I know everyone says drinking is cool and i can be but if you are the "sloppy drunk" at a party trust me you wont be cool the next day. best advice to start drinking is to volunteer to be the sober driver for awhile and see how bad alcohol can effect people if not consumed right.
Moderate consumption of alcohol is not bad for you. It is the abuse of alcohol that is bad for you. Granted, some people do not know where that line resides, but when done correctly, some alcoholic beverages are BENEFICIAL to your health.
The alcohol is not the risk for health or mind if taken in very small amount or in limitations. But access of alcohol makes the people addicted of it. That's why people takes alcohol even after knowing that it is risky. Some people takes alcohol for fun and enjoyment, some takes for chilling out, and some takes because of addiction of its alcoholic taste.
