I cut but recently I haven't done it as much cuz I'm not getting as upset. but like i have a rubber band on my wrist and when I'm at school and don't have my knife or razor I pull the rubber band back hard and let go. if you have a bf just think about what he would say if he saw you doing that and how bad it would upset him. My bf told me it gets him upset cuz he wasn't there for me, he was upset for a long time so i stopped but when we broke up i started again
It's a horrible thing to do, but it's possible. I stopped 3 months ago. There are many alternatives. Such as chewing ice, slapping your wrist with a rubber band. Playing any instrument, writing your problems on paper than cutting it up. Or anything else. You could also talk to someone about it, and get some help. By friends, family or therapists.
The only thing I could ever think of is getting serious help. I know people that have one through rehab and their situation wasn't too bad but they just liked to do it. Please don't take this to an offense.
By keeping your hands busy,weather drawing,taking notes,doing sports and activities,wearing gloves,bracelets with inspiring quotes will help,mood rings or bracelets,typing and being on the computer or texting alot will help,playing and doing hands on things like boardgames,creating art pieces,playing instruments,dancing that will help alot =)
