Ulcerative colitis is pretty much uncontrollable and very sporadic. You never know when the symptoms will attack. Of course he's irritable at times! It's horribly painful. I wish him the best. Try to be patient with him- it's like all of a sudden he's got a knife gouging him. Plus, he probably needs to use the bathroom often. Maybe the two of you can explore his diet and try to come up with foods he can tolerate. I hope he has a good doctor. Best wishes.

what bothers me most is for about 1 1/2 year now..tried to modify his diet..he still drinks bear and cant keep off coffee..sadly its understandable and hard to stay away from things you are accustomed to having but I probably running out of sugestions. on top of that he has outburst of anger for small little things which worries more because he thinks im blowing things out proportion.

LOL true but not quite. Its secondary to the over all problem.Perhaps if he cares more about taking care of his illness then that LIBIDO problem will be overlook.we are all going to get old and aged...libido is the least of the problem..being healthy with a sound mind is most important..i asked about that if its something to do with his illness coz if its not then maybe hes not that Interested to help create a healthy relationship. By the way I dont know how old you are so I hope you understand my drift..thanks for commenting though.i appreciate it.
