My best friend is pregnant at 17, her boyfriend is not helping, & her mom doesn't know. We live in different states. how do i help her?

baby clothes, support, what...?

You need to tell her mom about the pregnancy. This is because she will need care and if the mother finds out later when the belly is big, she will be mad at her. She should start looking for the post natal items as early as possible.

I'm also 17 so here's my view point (even if I'm not pregnant). I would say you should probably convince your friend to tell her mom and herself and discuss ways to compromise. Such as adoption. Or an adoption agreement with a couple where they are okay with you visiting a couple times a year.

Tell her mom, not like it can be kept a secret forever and just be there for her as much as you can

be their for her, get a job, pray, keep her in a positive state of mind, do what you have to. I mean diapers, toys, clothes...whatever, they aren't going to be cheap and that fact can be oppressive in itself . Not to mention her mother not knowing.

....real friends have no limitations, and based on what you've disclosed she needs a friend now more than ever.

And as for her mom not knowing that's for her to tell, your her friend not her bodyguard. And I know it sucks to admit but you can't protect her from everything.

Give her hope, and a positive influence! She will need that at this point! Then do what ever you can to keep her mom calm when breaking the news to her whether it be in person, over the phone, whatever.
