How to stay motivated?

I want to get toned again and have started working out again but I have a problem staying motivated, any suggestions?

First off if that is you in the in the photo, you are already beautiful. If it matters that much to you to get back in shape and get toned then you want to do this.

First: Mixed something you like with working out.
Second: Empty your and don't even think it is a workout.
Third: Find a workout routine that works around your schedule.
Fourth and final: Get a Zumba dancing game or video and it teach you to dance and it will make you shine and get in shape.

If none of this works, Just remember you are beautiful no matter what anyone says, How i helped

ChristianBrooks has it spot on...looking @ your photo, what are you "toning" for? You are a *beautiful* woman and there isn't any need for you to work out. If you want to develop more musculature, you will first need to build it, then "tone" it...but you don't really have any musculature issues that stand out, if that is indeed you in the profile photo.

Well, that's quite a different story, then, isn't it? Toning abs - go to a gym and talk to a trainer, they will recommend some exercises...I would, but I understand the philosophy changes about every 3 months. For your arse, there is nothing, and I mean NOTHING better than bicycle-riding. And I mean the *real* stuff, not that crap gym spinning weft. Where do you live, city of country? City means it's more difficult to get your "rear in gear" 'cuz it's all flat; country means you've got hills to climb and there ain't a thing that will get your tushy into better shape than cycle-hill-climbing. PERIOD. I'm 200 lbs and women *still* love my arse 'cuz I did so much damned hill-riding. Go on, girl!

find friends who like to do the same thing! if you don't have any, try to make some. if you STILL don't have any, tell your parents what your trying to do, and make it official. they should give you support, and also you will have a witness to keep you rolling. make a schedule!

if you do find friends however, then make a weekly or daily schedule to go workout for a period of time. good luck!

I recently lost 30 pounds & even being a little overweight didnt keep me motivated haha you honestly just have to get up & go do it. I hated running but I was like get up right now & do it. If you oush your self you will feel sooooo good!!!

Tell yourself that your going to workout for 20 mins and set a timer, this well help you get back into your rhythm. You might need to change your workout around just a little bit, for I think you just might be getting tired of that kind of workout

start and then work your way up. even just do a small amount a day and then work up from there everyday increasing the amount by a little bit. by then you should have developed a routine and everyday around a certain time you will do your routine. I'm pretty sure starting small will help in your situation

Music does help, I cannot imagine working out without music. At first staying motivated is difficult it is like taking medicine I just went thru the motion but when you see changes in your body and how you feel that is the real motivator, don't give up.

Ugh... I sort of get annoyed when people say: "Push-ups, Jumping Jacks, chin-ups."
The point is... That stuff for me personally... Is a little boring..
I enjoy going to the gym to run on a treadmill with some friends. You don't know how much the experience will change if you exercise with a buddy. Bring some hardcore music too, euro-pop singers like Basshunter and Cascada just make you want to go wild and do everything everywhere... Film you and your friends making-up an aerobic dance instructional video, I did that in high-school and it made us feel as if we lost a lot of weight. (It's fun too!) Also, if you can't get yourself to exercise... Try doing 'Just Dance' on Wii, or 'Dance Central' on the Kinect with a friend, it's really fun and gets you tired fast.

Give yourself pep talk and think of the success in the future! You can also get a friend to do it with you so you can keep each other motivated

If you're not motivated what's the point?
Usually, by nature now I get sickened at the thought of eating anything bad or getting lazy because I like to be strong and lean you know? It just happens natural.
If getting to the gym is your issue, I suggest really hyped up music that makes you want to do stuff. For real, some stuff just gets you hyped. Also, creating habits is good. Have a set time that you exercise every single day. Have it planned out what EXACTLY you're going to do. If you set a schedule, you can understand where your work is taking you and it's more worth it. It becomes more realistic.

Write your goal on a plane paper...........and stick it on the wall in front of you, where you can see this most of your time.

Body space on bodybuilding.com is like facebook for people who love to workout and are trying to better themselves physically and mentally. It's more addicting than facebook too
