Has anyone ever witnessed a miracle?/ Interacted with demons before?

Please feel free to share, the honest truth. :)

Report as

Well, no, but I met a man who had.

I gave a handout to a homeless guy in a Sydney park and he said, "Do you know the Devil?" Well I didn't but I said, "Yes. He's a good mate of mine." So he said, "Well I've seen him."

And so he had. He was having a fit of DTs and saw him in an hallucination. But the interesting point was that it happened at the Salvation Army's homeless shelter. Those Salvos -- they'll take in anybody, even the Dark One himself.

Hi Yosey, I've hardly touched base here today, and won't be staying long now. Hope to get back after a late lunch.
Report as
I don't believe it.
Report as
He was probably on crack or something :/
Report as
You should believe it, Naughty. It's true.
This happened before crack was available in Oz and at a time when drugs were still making their way into wider usage. Advanced alcoholics suffer from a ailment called delirium tremens (DTs) which is a pretty nasty withdrawal symptom when they can't get any booze. They hallucinate and see all sorts of things from green snakes to pink elephants. This man saw the Devil.
You're correct in not believing the Devil could actually appear, but incorrect in not believing that, in his dementia, he saw him.

Yes, I see flashes of sparkle or light come out of no where and I look then its gone. Sometimes I cover the mirror in the bathroom with a blanket because I think someone's spying on me the other side. I think my cat is someone from school.

Have you tried putting another mirror in front of your mirror to make the person unable to spy on you?
Report as
No, that's a great idea!
Report as
If you see flashes of light you should see an eye doctor.

I worked for an ophthalmologist in college. I lost track of how many people came in with "flashes" and needed immediate surgery for retinal detachment.

The chances of you being born are 1 in 6?10^100 (6 times 10 to the hundredth power). Every one of us have witnessed a miracle, life!

really?
Report as
Yes and there are many factors not in that number you could add to make the odds even lower. If you don't want to go that far down the probability tree just consider this.. The average male aged 18-30 produces on average 300 million sperm cells a day. You were only one of those, on the right day, at the right time!

I have has a few miraculous experiences, such as quick recoveries from broken bones, and perhaps the biggest miracle: how I survived birth. I shouldn't have, because the embilical cord was wrapped around my neck three times. I didn't open my eyes for several days, and I would have appeared dead had I not been breathing. But God had his hand on me from the day I was born. Now I am on my way to high school, happy and healthy, and with a firm belief in Christianity.

Well when I was very little me and my family were on a road trip to the beach and everything was great, traffic was smooth, weather was beautiful, then my little sister (she was 4 at the time) starting screaming as if she were in the worst pain a human could go through, my parents stopped the car and asked what was wrong and she said she was fine. So everyone was very confused at this point and we went on driving down the road when lass then 10 seconds later she started screaming and kicking her legs again as if she was being tortured (believe me she was really screaming like she was in horrible pain) This time my parents pulled over and grabbed her out of her car seat and sat on the side of the road and asked again what was wrong and she said nothing was wrong and smiled. So a few minutes later we all got back in the car and started driving again and about a mile up the road we came across a 4 car pile up with two vans, a tractor & trailer and a 4 door truck. Everyone involved was hospitalized but were ok. It turns out that we missed being in the accident by about 4 minutes and that's the amount of time we stopped the car to see what was wrong with my sister. My family was in a small car so if we hit any of those vehicles we probably wouldn't have survived. Now you can believe what you want but I'm convinced that something was looking over me and my family that day. it wasn't until later that I came to know Christ but looking back on it I know it was God protecting us :)

Something weird happened to me on a streetcar. I had just gotten good news and was in a great mood. I had a seat to myself near the back of a fairly crowded streetcar when a guy with a giant putt bull got on and made their way to the seat behind me. The dog was calm and under firm control by the owner. The next thing I knew was that I was in the isle by the side door breathing rapidly with tears running down my face. I am not a crier. I didn't recall getting up. I looked back and the dog was suddenly hysterical and trying to attack the people who had been sitting ahead of me. The open jaws of that out-of-control dog were where my head had been. The people on the streetcar began to panic. The side doors opened and I stepped off. It wasn't my stop.

Hi sincerity. It was so unusual. I don't believe in ghosts or miracles or anything else like that, but this thing happened just this way.

scary.

wow Taise, something was looking out for you!

I sure was saved. When I retire, I want a dog, but not one of them!
Report as
Taise, it's really sad you were exposed to the worst of the breed, they are actually really nice dogs, ours was a sweetheart, gentle, kind and a real character! Have been around many like that, it really is a function of upbringing
in the breed, unless trained to attack or mis-treated, they are truly not vicous
at all! But considering what you went through, am sure you will always have
a degree of wariness of them.
What type of dog do you like?
Report as
Witt, I had friends with a Pitt bull named Sadie who bounced with joy and licked us half to death. I've seen the good side -- it's some of the strange owners (not you, of course) that I'm wary of. I have always had rescued cats with all the psychology that comes from a rough start. It all depends on their training and the quality of love they receive. I'll bet yours was a peach!
I like spaniels only because my first dog was one. She bit my enemy and the neighborhood bully when I was eight. When I retire, I'm getting a dog, probably rescued.
Report as
Taise, Glad you know the good side of Pitts also.:-)..
Have had some of those cat's myself; one right now actually, she learned to love us, and for a little while did ok with other animals... then the moving and all of a sudden strange dogs etc., set her back a bit, she never has re-adjusted totally, but does fine.
Smart Spaniel you had! Did the bully learn anything from it?
Rescues are the best! Out of 30-some dogs in my life, have only had one which wasn't. Grandmother brought home a American Eskimo pup on my Birthday the year I moved in with her to go to High School in the U.S. He was a sweetheart!:-).
Report as
I cannot imagine living without pets. We had a cat that had been tortured by children. We didn't allow anybody to even look at her. She loved us as best she could, but clipping her nails was sheer hell.
The bully stopped bullying people because everybody pretended to call my dog over, even when the dog wasn't anywhere nearby. It was a neighbourhood joke that connected the vulnerable kids. That dog hated men. Ignored my dad. If a men came anywhere near me, the dog went into attack mode, but she loved kids. Eskimo dogs are so smart and their heads are so big. I just love animals.

Yup. I was in a service where a man was deaf in one ear, and it was healed! Also, I wasn't there, but my sister's eye was healed in a church service, and I have a friend who had a lump on his leg after an ATV accident (had it for almost a year) and it was gone after being slain in the Spirit. I've also witnessed demons coming out of people. It hasn't happened a lot, but I can remember at least one service where they cast a demon out of a woman. Also, God has done MANY things in my personal life with Him. One time, He spoke to our church, and used someone to say something in a heavenly language. God used me to interpret the message, and after He got done, the Spirit of God hit me so strongly that I literally fell on the alter, and started crying.

Miracle:

I was at a Bible-bowl tournament. My team was getting slaughtered by a team we normally beat quite easily. I remember praying "God please let us win this one."

I remember sensing a small voice inside me that said. "Do you want to win this match or the one after it?"

I replied. "Well the one after this one would be nice. But whatever happens, your will be done, and let us bring glory to you."

We lost that match, quite badly. The next team we faced had trained harder and knew more. They had beaten us every time for 5 years. Guess what happened.

We beat them.
Not only once, but twice.
