Because we find gluttonous people unattractive, and if there's one thing you should know about human instinct is the desire to mate. So, therefore, it is instinct to appeal to the opposite gender, whether by wearing tight clothes or making yourself more curvy or more fit
People want to lose weight, because quite simply, Obesity isn't a good look on anyone. I agree anorexia is bad, but at the same time, the Obese people need to fix their LOGAF and start treating their bodies properly.
women read a lot of magazines, all the models are very thin, they are projected as the ideal in beauty so of course we want to be beautiful too. clothes look good on you when you are thin . most fashionable clothes are fitted. women love clothes , we love men, most most love thin women, its simple. also, from a more logical standpoint, you are more likely to get a job if you are thin, than fat. you are healthier if you are thin, you can actually be given lower insurance rates.fat people are often assumed to be lazy and poor , unfairly as this may not be the case at all, but society has this prejudice. thin is much more beneficial in all areas, in my opinion.
Everyone has a different motivation, to feel good, because they look up to someone and are envious of them and want to look like them, and because of health reasons... High cholesterol, diabetes, a fatty heart or veins... There just so many reasons.
because people don't want to be fat??? Most are self conscious over there weight and being skinny makes them feel better. I would want to loose weight if I were fat, but right now im trying to gain it im only like 99 pounds and im 15
For many people it's because of the way of society. Being "fat" is bad and being thin is good. Society is a big reason that many people want to be thin. Some people judge overweight people because it doesn't reach society's standards. It's stupid but that's unfortunately how it is.
Not all people are looking to be thin. The reality is some people are obese and carrying around the excess weight can hinder one's lifestyle and their health. Some people want to be healthy, but not thin. Like myself. I was once 350 pounds - very unhealthy. I have so far lost almost 70 pounds, and I plan to get down to 220-250 pounds, and stop there. So, I so will not be thin, but since I have changed my entire eating habits, I will be a lot healthier. It is a mind set - society does make a lot of people want to be thin, but a lot of thin people are not all healthy - go figure.
