Funny... when I typed in "Harriet Tubman" in my Google search box, a whole TON of stuff came up... all of it useful and informative.

Just a few of the links which should be useful and informative to you as well...

She wasn't in the civil war. Keep researching and you might get a history lesson.

She was a very important person in the Underground Railway for escaped slaves.

I know. But the person said civil war when she was most certainly not in the civil war.
Report as
No, Juggalo, the person said "during" the civil war. That was Ms. Tubman's time.

I didn't say she was around during that time I meant her place in history wasn't the civil war.
Report as
What would you say her place in history was? I'm not understanding you.
Report as
Juggalo - she was definitely part of Civil War history.

Then my school must be full of dumb teachers or is it just me?

Perhaps you did not understand what your teachers were saying. Did they tell you she was part of a different war?
