Of course!! When we talk to God, just be yourself and talk to him like you are talking to a best friend. That's what He is suppose to be to us. No formal words is needed. He knows you more than you know yourself and longs for us to have a relationship with Him. :)
If you mean what you say. I have my own prayer that I saw each night. The Lord's Prayer is a fine prayer, but too many people just have it memorized and rattle it off without thinking about what they're saying. If your mind is not on what you're saying in a prayer, you might as well sing the alphabet.
Absolutely!!!! Spontaneous prayer from tbe heart is much preferable to memorized words that people just say because its in a prayer book or part of a human religion. MOST Christian denominations believe in spontaneous prayer rather than memorized prayer. Only a very few actually use stale, meaningless memorized prayer.
Letting Jesus in your life is the best thing you can do for yourself. Talking to Him one to one is making a good relationship with Him. I fear death no more because I know I will see my best friend and creator before me when my time is up.
That's how you are supposed to pray. Prayers that are taught are there to help you learn how to pray. Once you know how to pray, you can pray what's on your heart. Remember, Jesus is a person. Imagine that He is sitting in a table in front of you. Talk to him like a real person. When you repeat the same prayers over and over, to him it's like a child saying, " dad, are we there yet, are we there yet, are we there yet?". Silly right? So why do some religions pray like this?

Only if it's according to God's will as seen here 1 John 5:14 ?And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that, no matter what it is that we ask according to his will, he hears us. ( NWT ) (jw.org) ( You would have to know what Gods will is )
