What are some things that can help me sleep?

I don't feel so well right now, and I would like to sleep. But, I've been laying in bed for almost an hour and I still can't sleep. :(

You could buy Dream Water (if this is a every night ordeal) ,but if tonight the only night you have this problem going to sleep listening to calm music/ watching a movie . Something that always help me sleep is putting in a good movie ,just do not attempt to force your self into sleep ,or get frustrated of not sleeping (if you do that your going to be stressed out)

go to your pharmacy and buy melatonin. It is a natural sleep aid

Tea or warm milk. Listen to something calming. Like for me, i listen to metal. Melatonin if u have access to it.

Here are some home remedies that can help you fall asleep:
- take a warm bath
- drink warm milk
- read a book
- think of something calming
- counting sheep
- listen to relaxation music
- eat a small bedtime snack

That's all I can think of. Hope this helps Minji! :)

There are some special lotions or how mexican moms say it "cremitas" that help you go to sleep or you can try taking a REALLY warm shower before you go to bed hope that helped you out

ideas:
-a small glass of wine.
-a strong pot of chamomille tea
-passion flower,valerian root,and hops
-exercise during the day
-warm water bottle(to rest head on)
-breathing exercise

Count To 100. I once counted to 100 and was so tired. Try turning on a lamp, not too bright but nice enough for you to enjoy it. Drink Hot milk, put it in the microwave for about 10 seconds, you don't want it too hot. Or, tea. It's relaxing to me to have a small cup of tea before bed. Read your favorite book! You'll get tired at some point, I just know it. Eat crackers or bread, it's just a little filling. Think if your on a beach, all to yourself and your favorite things were there, friends, food, warm weather, sun, a beach, whatever you like. Listen to your favorite song, or calm lullaby's [sounds babyish, but believe me it works.]

I have insomnia so I can never sleep. Many stores sell OTC (over-the-counter) Melatonin, meaning you don't need a prescription. It helps you sleep, trust me.

think about your favorite thing in the world. DON'T force your self to sleep, and at somepoint you'll fall asleep. Hope that helps!

There is this thing on YouTube called ASMR. I Don't know what it stands for, but when I have trouble sleeping I listen to/watch a few of them and am out in a few minutes.

try and read boring books...or either count numbers while closing your eyes and imagining the shapes of the number you count

Melatonin and Benadryl will both make you sleepy, taken with a warm glass of milk they are a sure fire winner. Do not take a really warm bath because they will wake you back up and will keep you from going to sleep for a couple of hours. Getting cold and then going to bed will make you sleepy also.

Turkey sandwich, it sounds strange but some ingredient in turkey makes you sleepy. I have tried it many times and it really works.

listen 2 some of Ur favorite types of music on Ur phone or something, anything that can sooth u 2 sleep. i do it all the time and it helps me. ;-)

Drink plenty of water before going to bed, don't eat right before bed, make sure you "shut down" all of the unresolved issues in your head, and spend some quiet time in prayer. Then read a little bit of the Bible.

I find that praying to Jesus Christ, asking him to help you rest is the best! I'm serious, it works! Keep asking. Then read the New Testament in either "The Message" or in the New Living Translation version.

I have that same issue sometimes. I usually drink some warm tea, pray to Jesus to help me sleep and/or sleep somewhere besides my bed (it sometimes helps me to have a change).

Cut off ALL caffeine intake after 6 pm. Valerian root, Tryptophan and melatonin with a B vitamin complex (you can get them at any pharmacy) is a safe, holistic and effective sleep aid when taken in tandem. They help the body initiate its own natural sleep cycle. take them about an hour before bedtime with some warm milk with a cinnamon stick. Works wonders with no drowsy after effects the next day!

I think if you happen to have someone to read you a story, or an audiobook that always works rather well. Or you could just go on ask dot com, questions by people, answered by people. ( ask.com better be paying me for that.)

Lay down, Then shortly relax and take deep breaths and chill, Lastly make sure you have a warm bed make sure new Comforters and Sheets are on it and think about all the things you did that day and go into a deep dream and hopefully you will fall into a deep sleep.

Reading good books or listening soothing music can help one to feel drowsy. Or start workout as it helps to get a good sleep, since the more you are tired the more you get a good sleep

I don't have it in me to read thru all the 48 answers before mine,
But has anyone mentioned that it is not especially sleep inducing

ok so dont drink tea the caffeine in tea will keep you up take a nice hot bath and put on some pajamas and get in the bed with the t.v or some really soft jazz music and get comfortable .. next thing you know your sleep like a baby
