Are there requirements regarding the distance to a nearest "no parking" sign? How far does the nearest posted notice need to be?
I recently received a parking ticket(they clear the street on certain days for cleaning), but the nearest sign was 364ft behind me in a direction I didn't come from. It seems unfair to expect someone to walk more than half a city block behind themselves to see the nearest "No Parking" sign. Is there any legal limitation in California or San Diego that would back me up on this? It just seems really unreasonable, who walks THAT FAR behind their parking spot to see if they need to move their car early in the morning?
