Now that I have made high quality graphite oxide / exfoliated graphene in my garage what do I do with it?

Report as

Sell it to me!
I'm interested that you made it at home. Which method did you use to separate graphene from the graphite? The sticky tape method or something more professional?

Gis, I just saw you don't have it your garage... but, I'm going to go back under me and tell him to SELL! SELL! SELL! to YOU! YOU! YOU!
A smart cookie you are! Take Care and hope to read you again soon. I think I follow you already right? If not, I will now. Thanks again.

Dan~ sell for cheap to Gislist. He's onto something. Maybe you two can spit the profits! :)

Bare with me. My computer is having a touch of an attitude at the moment. Sorry, that was split. I don't think spitting will help either one of you :) ha ha ha!

Haha, thanks merlin, and yea i'll be sure not to spit on my profits :)

it sells for 199 per 150ml on eBay & amozone. I have over 3 mason jars already & could supply gallons a week if needed. But what I am real interested in is printing supercompactors & producing them in huge quantities.
Report as
If you can produce them in such a number, then you should start a business! Anyone can do it and it's not expensive, if you sold them at 5% less than ebay in small quantaties and maybe 30% cheaper in bulk, then you could be making a lot of money in short time.

SELL! SELL! SELL! ...
Someone will know how to put it to use. What is it used for normally? I thought graphite made things slippery. Is this what you've made?

Graphite is a form of carbon found in pencils, for example, which isn't very valuable except for the recently discovered fact that it is actually hundreds of millions of layers of graphene, which is size-by-size by the far the strongest material in the world. It's literally a 2D sheet of carbon atoms that you can hold in your hand. If it were sized up (which is impossible since it's 1 atom thick and doesn't bond vertically) to the thickness of an ordinary plastic film it would take 20K newtons or TWO TONS of force to puncture it with a pencil.

Gislist~ You are a fountain of knowledge! Thank you for taking a moment and explaining to me to power of Graphite. Obviously, I was on an entirely different track :) You may think about using your personal talent, i.e. explaining explicitly and accurately to others, and teach! Again, thank you for sharing. Now, my suggestion would be to lock your garage and call some BIG companies that can utilize your talent and your garage contents ! :) Good Luck and have a great day! :)

Thank you very much, those are very kind words. I do have a long-term plan for an invention that would, if successful, change very much in areas such as emergency rescue, hard labor and warfare(to the better). I'm not sure many companies would be very interested in me though, I haven't got much official education.

Either did Einstein ! ! If you can situate yourself into a location where you can talk to people in high positions, I would buy your product. Not even knowing you, I do have a feeling you are for "the good..." or bettering a dangerous position.

Resumes aren't everything. Ex: My husband builds multi-million $ houses. He has been in the field for over 30 years. His resume would have difficulty against a kid who just graduated w/all the computer skills they have now. But, he still has more talent than any kid who just did it via a monitor and a mouse. Some people with a lot of clout still recogonize this and certainly appreciate it. Don't give up. You sound like you have a great head on your shoulders. I'll cheer for you! :) Take Care and WILL read you again if you stick around! :)

Thanks alot, I mean it. I don't get much positive feedback from the people around me and you've really brightened my day.

Nano Tec is acutualy very easy to make once you under stand it. Tubes single layer graphene, carbons the key. I am just looking the lock that fits it.

You're welcome Gis :) You've brightened mine too by being so polite. You taught me something too :) Thanks !!!!

Generally you have that figured out BEFORE making something.

well graphene is not living up to my hype. Finding a practical use being a film manufacture I thought would have it's benefits.

great advice. Maybe he could figure out how to land a business deal with Gislist. If you look under me, Gislist seems to have an idea as to how and what to do with it. Again, great idea with the patent :)
