( 12 ) And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay.
( 13 ) Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging.
( 14 ) Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators.
( 15 ) Then indeed, after that you are to die.
( 16 ) Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected.
( 17 ) And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. Quran (23:12-17) ----
Both. ;) Science says the "Big Bang" happened (not the TV Show). Then we were created out of the "Primordial Soup", or Star Dust that evolved from there. Religion says man was made by God, after he/she created the Universe. So, what if God created the "Big Bang", and let it go from there, just to see what happened, and we evolved from there? So, would that make the Theory of Evolution, and the belief in God co-exist? Or, did man create God to explain all of the things he didn't understand? I won't tell you what I believe, it's against my religion. But, I can tell you to think, that's not.
Humans came from... Short answer: The Earth Long answer: The Universe was created 13 billion years ago. During the first moments of the big bang, there were thousands of stars that went supernova, which created the elements that we know today. Some of these elements became a big cloud that eventually collapsed into a star, what we know as Sol. The leftover material formed hundreds of very small planets, which eventually collapsed into the 8 we know today. At the beginning of the earth's life 4.6 billion years ago, it was so hot that anybody would burn up almost immediately on the surface. Eventually it cooled enough for earths oceans. In the oceans we had all of the necessary ingredients for life, all we needed was power. Some lightning, which was much more powerful than then now, struck the oceans, and gave the elements the power they needed to form proteins then DNA and RNA, the building blocks of life. Add some evolution and a billion years, and you get us.
People constantly fight over evolution vs. creation. What I believe is that God created man WITH evolution. The Bible doesn't explain specifically how man was created. It only explains what we as Christians need to know to live through His word. You may interpret the Bible to think that man was really made of dust and woman were made of man's bone, but the Bible is SYMBOLIC. If the Bible was literal, then only people of the time period it was written in would understand it. Since it's symbolic, everyone in the world can interpret what it means. I must say that we come from God, through Earth. God planned everything, such as how He planned the evolution of humans today. He planned for the Earth to be ruled by us humans.

All life forms, technically, originate from stars. Since the beginning of the universe, trillions of stars have formed and died. When a star goes supernova, it emits every element from hydrogen to iron, even heavier elements like magnesium, silver and gold. The Earth's atmosphere is made up of nitrogen, oxygen, carbon, ammonia, and many other gases. And humans are made up of these elements too, even iron. Everything that exists comes from stars: buildings, cars, trees, water, etc. We are all star dust in a way.
