In my opinion, I feel the Republicans in Congress who have made it their mission to block any legislation and discredit the President, have overplayed their hand. They have lost most of their credibility with a great deal of the country by presenting us with these pseudo "scandals". While the issues do need to be public and scrutinized, instead of trying to "jail" people before facts are known, perhaps they could let the proper agencies investigate first. I feel these Congress members have wasted our time and money. They have made fools of themselves and embarrassed our country. They are supposed to be working for all of us not trying to undo a Presidential election that more than half of the country agreed to.
Because every President that I can remember has had some kind of scandals going on while he was President. It's what YOU believe that matters. There is never enough solid facts behind any of the scandals. Never has been on any President. Some real close ones but always a shadow of a doubt.
There are no scandals that involve the President, only fodder for conspiracy theorists. As Neighborlady pointed out, in the long run the republican reaction to these events will damage the already weakened GOP more than anyone.

To continue with what Neighborlady posted, this is a case of the boy who cried "Wolf!" The Republicans have been tripping over themselves for so long making up false claims and spreading misinformation in their desperate attempt to discredit this president, that many people are simply fed up with it. Any claim they make now, even when there is a kernel of truth to it, like the Benghazi and IRS scandals, will be seen as part of this campaign to malign Obama. As a result many will be more sympathetic to him than they might have been otherwise.
Also, his approval rating hovers around the 50% mark with it dipping below 50% more than rising above. So it's not as if he is really all that popular anyway.
Because people are infatuated with Obama and he will never be blamed for any failures. He could be caught on video beating an elderly woman with a puppy and people and the media will still defend him and blame Bush.
