My hair stays wavy all day it might be natural but I use a big brush and brush it till it gets staticky then take a shower and re brush it till all the nots are out.Allso sleeping with your hair pulled up in a poni tail or braided.just a few suggestions.
After washing the night before, brush and braid the wet hair... next morning, take out the braids. If you wait until it's all the way dry to brush it, the waves should stay in. This is what I do anyway.
The best way to do it that will keep it all day is getting a heated curling iron. OR if you don't have that, keep your hair the night before in curls, using a styling mousse and sleeping with curls. Next morning, apply some heat with a hair dryer and fan your hair while still in curls, heat keeps the curls on for longer(hair straightners, curlers all heated right?). Don't do it for too long though it may damage.Take out the curlers, and brush your hair a tiny bit so it looks a little nicer instead of being hard as rocks. Style it nicely with hair spray and voila!
Another cool style is to braid your hair in many tiny braids the night before, you can get that fluffy angel look, but again also use styling mousse, heat and hair spray and not in the same week you already styled your hair with heat.
You can't do this every day, I say twice a week and then use a hair repair treatment for 3 days afterwards each week for around 2 months.
when you come out of the shower, towel dry your hair. then massage some hair mousse into it ( i use lOreal colour protect). In the morning , take out your braids and spray hairspray all over. if you have thick hair, quickly blast it with a hairdryer on the cold setting. this keeps my hair wavy all day. hope this helped.

Depending on the texture of your hair, you can use a large crimper iron. It is more consistent than braiding and there are various sizes of irons for your taste. That is generally your best option for longer lasting waves.
I suggest curling it with a wand, or you could shower before you go to bed and braid it while it is wet, then go to sleep and when you take out the braids in the morning it will be wavy, and it should stay like that all day. or you could use hairspray, but that makes your hair all hard (which keeps it wavy, but to me it just feels wierd.)
As my hair is naturally straight and braiding makes my hair really frizzy I tried using a technique I found on Pinterest called the headband curl. My curls turned out excellent and lasted all day WITHOUT hairspray!!! Here is the link: http://pinterest.com/pin/315322411380043453/ I hope this helped! :)
if i go to bed at night and wake up the next day with next day dry hair put a little serum on your ends and lengths of hair then maybe add a little mouse to the crown for volume lightly blow dry the hair just to add a touch of heat and volume for maybe less than a minute right after braid or put your hair into little buns even pin curling works. wrapping your hair into shape of a curl and fastening with a bobby pin. after you do this spray all over with hair spray lightly i recomend non aerosol or non alcohol anything for color treated hair is good too just means less harsh. after this i do my makeup and leave it in for as long as i want the longer i leave it in the more curly or less time and add more heat for same effect. when i take it out i just brush my fingers through it and smooth any frizz then add hair spray stays all day.
first braid your hair (make sure it's wet) then wait till your hair dries don't unbraid it YET next when your hair is dry spray on hair spray and your done P.S. don't put to much hairspray just put one thin coat
take shower, let your hair BARELY dry, braid it (if you do more than one braid it will come out waiver),sleep with the braid, take it out in the morning, run your finger through your hair to calm any frizz or tangles, and put hairspray in to make your hair stay wavy. HOPE THIS HELPED! ;D
