I don't know how to tell my dad I'm suicidal

I've been looking for an answer for this but i never did. Anyway I'm suicidal... and i don't like that I'm too afraid to tell my family... I want someone to help me but I'm afraid of being judged for who i am now. My dad's the person i think should tell but I'm too nervous and scared too tell him.

If you're too scared to tell him, maybe you should talk to a close bestie instead. I find it easier to talk to my friends about problems then my parents sometimes. Tell one of your best friends that you trust and you guys can work it out and then tell your dad together. Either way, you should tell him. He can help you. Good luck! :)

You should write a letter and give it to him . It's always hard to tell someone something when your scared . I recommend writing a letter and telling him why you are suicidal . He will do nothing more than try to help he's your dad and he loves you . You don't want to end your life there are so many reasons to live . think of how many positive reasons there are to die ...... I can't think of any life is a beautiful thing , but at times the world can be a ugly place . You should really write him the letter your his little girl and he , your family , and friends would be devastated if you hurt yourself .

You need your family's support immediately. Gather up all your courage and tell your dad you need his help. Explain to him why you feel as you do. Every day is a new day and you have a whole life of fantastic days ahead. Please talk to him tonight.

Definitely tell you Dad! I'm a dad and I would want to know if a child of mine was having those kind of thoughts. He will get you the help you need. In the meantime, "Trust in The Lord with all your strength and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

I am so proud of you for making it this far buddy, keep fighting it. And yea, I would ask your dad for help when you tell him. It will make him much more calm in dealing with the situation.

You should tell him. No other option besides telling your mother. A normal/good father will be helpful, supportive, give you love and do whatever he can to help you. You cannot(for your own sake) hide this. Don't worry about someone judging you. I would bet 95% of all humans have had suicidal thoughts at one time or another. There is nothing to be ashamed of. It takes a strong person to admit they need help and to seek it. Please sit down with him and talk to him.
