What is wrong with my duck? (read description please!!!)

when i was 7 , my uncle got me a duck for my birthday ( i didn't really ask for it he just kinda showed up at my party with a baby duck ) anyway, i'm 13 now and i've noticed that my duck has been doing these things for a while now that he is grown up.
- pulling out his feathers on the left wing and side of chest
- for some reason loves dog food (i never gave it to him when he was younger!)
- will ONLY play in his tub of water if the water is clear
- will attack my dogs
- will only eat his duck food if he is hungry enough to eat it! he will not eat his own food if there is no dog food mixed in it (my dad likes to throw food in my ducks cage that ducks aren't supposed to eat!!)

i only have 1 duck and that's him, i know ducks like to be with other ducks but my yard doesn't have room for them! and we are moving so soon i will a WAY bigger yard, i'm scared that if i get others ducks, he will attack and kill them... will he? and i did research online and i am pretty sure he is a Pekin Duck. he is big and white and he can't fly.

A male Pekin has a curled up tail. The first thought was meeting another duck to have little ones. How about a trip to your animal doctor to see if everything is alright. They surely like clean water and get used to that special treat in his food. Yes, territorial and you will have to keep an eye on new arrivals. The little chicks are very cute. These ducks are intelligent and there is one on TV that advertises insurance. Donald Duck was thought to be created from this same duck. Good luck with your sweet pet. -;

All of that sounds normal except for pulling out his feathers. That could be from stress and loneliness. My family had ducks when I was a kid, and I never saw them kill each other. The males attack people and dogs, but that doesn't mean they will kill females. Still, they can be rough with each other. That's just their nature.

Eating dog food and pulling out wing and breast feathers...sounds like he's got fleas...

I had a Macaw Parrot named Polly years ago and he was lonely too. So I bought a duck as a companion because he kept on saying "Polly want a quacker"!

The reason your duck is pulling out feathers from its wings could be due to aggressiveness. It could also be that youR duck is calling for attention from you. Looking at its age, its sexual maturity has heightened and the duck could need a female duck. However, the male pekin ducks are territorial and can become aggressive to any new ducks introduced in the cage. You can consult a vet for guidance.

This is a really cute story, because its a duck. Ducks are cute :)
Okay so I think he might feel alone, and need another duck to have babies with. Due to this, he years for more affection and attention.
