Deb, I'm so sorry. Allow yourself to mourn- There is no right or wrong way. Try to comfort yourself, by eating pretty-much what you want, and getting enough sleep. If it makes you feel better, talk to people who love you. It will take some time to feel better. Take care of yourself, ok?
