What's the ratio of paint to paint thinner when I'm painting something small like a swing arm on a motorcycle

If you're going to spray it use just enough thinner to get it to go through the gun. The more thinner you use the more the paint properties are compromised. You should try acetone or toluene or m.e.k as opposed to mineral spirits. That's pretty much only good for cleanup. Hope this helps
